GAME DEVELOPMENT

Phe: Desktop Pet
Phe: Desktop Pet is a psychological horror desktop pet simulator inspired by the likes of Shimeji, Tamagotchi, KinitoPET, and DDLC. It takes place entirely on the player's desktop, featuring Phe, a little guy whose care is placed in the hands of the player. Progression is player-determinant and based entirely on how often they spend time with Phe. Additional activities are unlocked the more players interact with Phe, though as the game progresses, the player can't help but notice something... off about their new friend.

This game was the culminating capstone project for my undergrad. I designed and wrote all of Phe's 150+ phase-determinant dialogue lines and the READMEs encountered as a sort of pseudo tutorial. I also oversaw the phase design, ensuring that it would adhere to the overall tone we were trying to build. Working on Phe was a fun challenge, since it allowed me to diversify my skillset and present a game that's unique on a technical level.
